Creative: It's becoming increasingly difficult to believe that I haven't updated this journal in almost a year. But this update brings us full circle, to May, the month where I develop into a picture-taking fiend. Really, I believe that if it were more simple to upload pictures on here, without needing to categorize them, taking two minutes per picture, that I would actually update on a pretty frequent basis. I have a ton of awesome pictures to upload, so I suppose that means that an update is in the very near future? Also, I finished the screenplay that I was working on, back in October, and now, I have a few different ideas floating around

This month has felt prolific. I have taken so many photos. And so many good ones too. It's actually overwhelming how many good shots I have. I'm really secretly waiting for the other shoe to drop. Ansel Adams said "Twelve significant photos in one year is a good crop." And Henri Cartier-Bresson has said, "Your first 10,000 photographs are your worst." I feel as though that's not the case for me. Or maybe I have taken well over 10,000 photographs. Since having my Pentax k-x, I've taken at least 1,500. It's funny how just simply having a child in your life-- not owning or creating one-- but interacting with a child on a day to day basis can really brighten your world. In this case, it's my world. My cousin's daughter (I have no clue what that makes her in relation to me) is just so awesome. I can tell she really looks up to me and likes me, for some strange reason. What a weird kid, right?
